Course Overview

This course is suitable for new and aspiring middle leaders in schools.

As part of the course, we will have a panel of experienced leaders from across a variety of schools who will answer your questions and discuss the key issues of academic leadership.

  • Setting and maintaining high standards
  • Understanding the challenges and opportunities of Academic Leadership
  • Getting the best out of your team

Course Outcomes

  • To raise awareness of key issues of importance to participants in middle leadership
  • To increase confidence and competence in dealing with the challenges of middle leadership in schools
  • To provide opportunities to share experience and good practice with colleagues
  • To encourage reflection and critical evaluation of middle leadership practices and professional issues

Attendee Fee

The in-person one day course costs £130 and includes refreshments and lunch.

The 3 x 1hr30 online weekly sessions course costs £100.

The Bridge offer a 50% discount to all state/maintained schools and an 80% discount to Wellington College Learning Alliance and Forest Learning Alliance Schools. Course costs are as follows:

  • WCLA and FLA Schools – £26 in person / £20 online
  • Maintained/State Schools – £65 in person / £50 online
  • Independent Schools/All other attendees – £130 in person / £100 online
